The Big News!

Well, everything looked healthy on the ultrasound. Praise God!!! I am so happy to have a healthy baby. I feel very blessed to be able to do this again.

And of course, you want to know....

Three beautiful girly blessings. :) The nurse told S he was "destined to swim in a sea of estrogen". Ha! I had actually prayed for a boy and it took a few minutes to wrap my head around girl! The ultrasound pic is not nearly as clear as I remember the girls' being...could we be that 10% that ends up wrong? Yikes.

Very happy today. Very relieved. Very blessed.

Thank you for the prayers!

  2. Did they point out the two little white dots? If so, you're good. :0) I remember too, when I was preggo with #3 and was hoping so badly for a boy that I actually cried when they told me it was a girl...but now I wouldn't have it any other way! You'll have SO much fun! So happy for you- praise the Lord!

  8. Like Julie, I can relate to wanting a boy so badly and when number 5 was another girl it took me a minute to wrap my head around it too. I had prayed so hard! Contrary to conventional wisdom, my husband was much more at ease and happy with the prospect of another girl than I was. He was content to have whatever God willed to give.

Also like Julie, I can't really imagine it any other way now. And the fact that your baby is healthy and your pregnancy is progressing normally is a wonderful blessing.

  9. Congratulations!I was praying for you to have a boy as well but a healthy girl is a hugh blessing just the same.It took me 5 tries to finally get a girl.I was having little panic attacks every time someone else would have a daughter.Healthy is the important thing. Before I left the hospital with my last son I couldn't even imagine how I could have wanted a girl.LucyT

  12. Congratulations! Just so you know, I was one of the 10% that was wrong. Even the ultrasound I had 3 days before delivery, the doctor said I was having a girl. I had a ton of pink from my baby shower, picked out the name "Autumn Rayne", and had the prettiest little pink dress for the hospital pictures. No boy name picked out at all. Then, when I delivered, the doctor said "Meet your son." I replied, "you're looking at the umbilical cord. you need to check lower." Keep in mind this was immediately after an emergency c-section and I was pretty drugged up at that point. I guess my point is this: Have a back-up name for a boy, and a pink and a blue outfit (or at least a gender-neutral outfit) in your bag. My dad had to run to Wal-Mart and get some boy sleepers :)

Or you could just go gender neutral I mean does gender really need to matter. LOL!!!!!!!

I don't get to talk to a lot of actual grown-ups during the day, so your comments make me really happy! :)
