Boring

We have this couple who walks their dog down our street every morning. I call them "The Boring Couple." They are an older couple who are both tall and thin. The woman wears khaki pants and a pastel colored shirt every day. With sensible shoes. The man wears jeans and a short-sleeved button up shirt every day. Tucked in with a belt. There is never ANYTHING surprising about their dress. It is, to say the least, consistent. They keep the same pace all the time. The man holds the leash. They pause to let the dog do it's business and then the man picks it up with a Wal-Mart bag.

They are like clockwork. Responsible, neat, steady.

BORING!!!!

Just once I want to see the woman with red on! Or the man with a polo shirt! Or see them laughing and talking to each other! (Their dog, surprisingly, is small and brown and energetic.) They kill me.

And I sort of feel like them lately because I have NOTHING OF INTEREST to blog about!

I just shuffle in here everyday talking about the same old things.

Maybe I should add a perky brown dog to this post?

Oh, that's right. We have allergies. Sorry.

So.....what would you like to hear about? You guys gave me suggestions a while back but I can't find them anywhere. Humph.

And this post is making me feel the need for a Wal-Mart bag so I'll end here.

Hope you have good ideas!!!

  1. I wake up looking forward to what you have to say-- whatever it is-- every single day. :) You, my friend, are not boring.

Hmmm... I can't remember what I told you last time to write about. Let's see. How about some healthy dinner recipes on The Kitchen Revised? Or, any sewing projects you have done lately? Or, what do your days of summer look like? What do they look like for your girls? Or, you can post a Keepin' It Real post. Those are always fun. :)

  4. I agree, I don't ever find you boring. Your mundane is a break from my mundane :-) What are you studying in Bible Study lately? Or just personal/family study time?

  5. Your blog isn't boring, even if your neighbors are.

I like the way Erin put it: "Your mundane is a break from my mundane."

I fear my blog is getting stale, too. Pretty sure it's just about run its course.

  6. You are not boring I read everything you write here.If it wasn't for your advice I probably would still be a totally lost high school home schooling mom and you inspire me to keep on plugging away with the house work.

I only wished you had a house full of boys so I could steal more of your theme ideas.

  7. hee hee...

Atleast yours picks up the refuge. I am so sick of this lady with a black pug that walks down my street. One day I screamed at her, "Stop letting him crap in my YARD!" I can't even let the kids play in the front yard, but they can play in the back and we have two weenie dogs.

She didn't see me, as it was from my kitchen window, but she quickly stopped him. Now when she sees me outside she walks on the other side of the street and watches me while he craps in the neighbors yard. I think I may hang a walmart bag on my mailbox for her.

    HA HA HA HA!

There you have it, a rant from me. Never knew your mundane would bring out so much hostility in myself, did you?

I don't get to talk to a lot of actual grown-ups during the day, so your comments make me really happy! :)
