OK people, teach me to dress slim!!!
After I had Little Bit, I bought a book that I have since loaned out and never seen again. I remember learning a few things from that book and I went shopping right after. The outfits I came out with ALWAYS fetched me compliments! It was a nice perk to going back to work. OK--it was the only perk. Sitting on the floor of a closet that was 3X4 feet pumping milk was certainly the opposite of a perk. Although I was thankful to be able to do so.
Anyway, I don't remember much about what I learned and I need some tips. So my post will be brief.
I hope you all have a great weekend.....now let's have those tips!! :)
ok. so i don't have any great tips...but i found some strange stuff on-line that you can buy... i love the vertical stripes in my last pic...never, EVER, wear vertical stripes, esp on your bum!
ReplyDeleteThis was fun B !
ReplyDeleteI also realized that I needed to start up some of my old ways of dressing myself : )
I am SO not posting pics of myself because that never turns out well. (Eight year olds are only so tall ya know)
ReplyDeleteBut I found some helpful things, I think. :0)
I don't really have any tips, but am enjoying reading everyone else's. I know horizontal stripes are no-no's. Vertical are more slimming.
ReplyDeleteOkay, I stink. I got nothing right now. I wear capris and a t-shirt every day. I do want to say that I'm sorry I've been so horrible on the FF posts.
ReplyDeleteBRENDA! I was so excited to read your tips for what to wear after this baby is born, and you've got none! Yeah, me neither!
ReplyDeleteAnd, I'm with Rachel. Forgive me for not posting FF posts. Maybe later today.... :)
Whew! That wasn't as easy as I thought it would be, but it was fun! Can't wait to read more. Very interesting subject Brenda. I for one can use all the tips I can find. ;)
ReplyDeleteHave a great weekend!!!
Fun topic, Brenda--one that I've been working on a lot lately, hence the actual posting this week. I plan to be more on the ball over the summer. One more week left...
ReplyDeleteWhoa AB!!! We need to re-do that link!! :)
ReplyDeleteUm, yeah. That's what I was thinking. :0)
ReplyDeleteHey there Brenda! The husband was off from work on Friday and since this weekend was all about him and what he felt like doing, and NOT about what I felt like doing, I didn't get a chance to post. But I DO have a couple of tips that I live by and have figured out through trial and error. And a husband who (thankfully) tells me the cold hard truth if I don't look good in something. At least he does when I'm brave enough to ask!!
ReplyDelete****Three quarter length sleeves are great at hiding arms that are less than toned. They are also very modest. And they aren't all that hot. Besides, don't we spend most of our time in AC anyway?
****If you are pear shaped or hourglass, straight skirts (not tight, though) look much better than skirts that flare out, which only serve to make wide hips look even wider.
****Avoid prints at the bottom if you can. Save them for up top. Well, I guess that may not be so if you carry weight up top.
****If you have ample bosom, a good bra is a MUST. And layer with a tank when wearing v-necks.
****Tight clothes show off bulges, so while I know it batters the ego to admit that you've graduated to a size 16, wear the 16. Squeezing into the 14 just makes you look bigger.
Hope these help. Better yet, hope they are relevant.
