Probably by the end of April we'll be there. It is time to prioritize and I think school is slipping down the line of importance for sure! Because if you don't have a reasonably kept up with house and food to eat, you have no business worrying about school!Brendahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13893224927335285415noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1686582774155973298.post-37174415524264576612012-02-02T01:32:12.055-06:002012-02-02T01:32:12.055-06:00Ahh...bed school...that sounds lovely! But with 2...Ahh...bed school...that sounds lovely! But with 2 little ones running around, it's not quite doable for us right now.

I agree with what Q said. School (well "formal school") goes out the window during difficult seasons. That's what they invented the internet for anyway...right? Reading/Phonics? Hello Starfall.com. Grammar? School House Rocks on youtube.com ("Conjunction junction what's your funcion..."). Math? mathblaster.com. Science? answersingenesis.com (lots of really cool videos!) History? Hmmm...still looking. My oldest boy (9) loves to play Civilization (a game on cd in which you build civilizations throughout history and interact with real historical figures). He's learned quite a bit from that game. There's always videos from the library too. And of course if all else fails (if there's a power outage or something) there's always good old fashioned books! My 9 year old has just discovered the joy of reading for pleasure. Okay, maybe "Smelly Old History Greek Grime" isn't really a classic, but he's learning that history is fun! (And I actually caught him reading a DK Eyewhitness World War I book for fun yesterday!) Happy dance! :)Jenaehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00426500904904994427noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1686582774155973298.post-39562970964455690172012-02-01T08:37:32.695-06:002012-02-01T08:37:32.695-06:00Here's my crisis season priority list:
